Volunteer Work
In May of 2010 I joined several Olympians and friends in the Habitat for Humanity Olympian and Paralympian Build Day. We mostly did yard work for the house and surrounding lots (picture). For most of February and March I volunteered my time at the front desk of the Utah AIDS Foundation, and also spent a weekend at Our Store, a volunteer-run thrift store that puts all it's proceeds towards the People with AIDS Coalition. The summer of 2011 I breifly volunteered my time at Utah's Hogle Zoo.
As a speedskater, I enjoy volunteering for many local meets when I'm not competing. From club-level short and long track competitions to World Cups and World Cup qualifiers, I've given my time to numerous skating events over the years.
